Fresh from exploring the outer reaches of the solar system, Jupiter 5 are crashlanding onto their home planet, bringing the fruits of their voyage in musical form.
In what can only be executed by a group in close quarters for an extended period, the fuzzguitar machine from Sydney will bring their own hybrid brand of rock to the worthy in recorded form for the first time.
The debut single, “H‐Bomb” b/w “Supersonic Hero”, will be released in 7” vinyl form and CD on the I‐94 Bar Records label, also home for rock luminaries Chris “Klondike” Masuak, Mick Medew and the Psychotic Turnbuckles.
Jupiter 5 has delivered a couple of high energy garage rock tunes that both assault the senses and make the listener yearn for days gone by.
The CD single features both self‐penned tracks and a bonus live track of Jupiter 5 covering NYC masters, The Dictators’ “Minnesota Strip” – a version that has drawn positive online comment from that iconic band’s Andy Shernoff and Ross The Boss.
Celia Curtis from psycho‐blues‐abilly duo White Knuckle Fever makes a guest appearance on “H‐Bomb” and the other A side is a scorching live staple, “Supersonic Hero”, that loses none of its power in its studio form.
Jupiter 5 are convened from trace elements of The Conspirators, Sheek the Shayk, Thurston Howlers, Psychotic Turnbuckles, 69BC and other fellow travellers who display their musical pedigree with lashings of ‘60s punk snarl and ‘70s rifferama. This a band from the end of the galaxy to beyond the seventh moon… a journey that relies on brute force and grooviness, with an exacting coolness to satisfy the hippest cats.
Welcome your newest interstellar overlords, JUPITER 5.

REVIEWS
“A throttling pace. Razored melodies. Kickarse backbeat. And thats only side one. Supersonic Hero sounds every bit as good as it does live. Electric. Crazed. Perfect two way retro guitarnage. For a debut single, this one’s fkn hard to beat.” Mark Fraser, Redback Rock
” They have put the stamp on Sydney as the main exponents of loud proto punk and garage rock over the last 12 months. It’s that tough-as-concrete and tight rhythm section and those blazing guitars.” Ed Garland, Moonlight Five
“If you’re going to play Garage Rock you play it like these fellas. Superb.” MD Horne, Sydney
